~ Alice In Wonderland ~

In AMAZING 3-D!!! XD

I am really starting to like 3-D movies, besides the fact that I hate wearing those glasses over my normal glasses. I'm thinking up of an alternative to using contact lenses because I don't have contact lenses and the other more important point is that I do not in particular look forward to putting something into my eye. ^^;

My idea was to instead, remove the handles on my glasses and insert it into the 3-D glasses. Haha. Although I do wish someone would make clip ons. I mean why not right?

Anyway, the interesting thing here is also the fact that I don't remember exactly what I watched in between Avatar and Alice in Wonderland. I think I watched Legion and Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, but I just don't remember them as much as those I watch in 3-D. (For obvious reasons)

But anyway, Alice in Wonderland was a pleasure to watch. I was hesitant initially cause it's Tim Burton and while I respect his work, I have never really liked his work. So I can safely say that this is the first Tim Burton movie that I truly 100% enjoyed from start to finish. Although when I went to watch it, I was expecting more to watch Nodame Cantabile or Kaiji.

But if you know Alice in Wonderland's story, it's... the same? Except that Alice is older and there's some sort of plot. I don't know how similar it is to the original cause I never actually read it before. I always thought I did and I can tell you some things about the story, but in actual fact I have never actually read or know the full story of Alice in Wonderland.

Mia Wasikowska was a dear to watch. And Johnny Depp was Johnny Depp. Methinks Johnny Depp is getting too Johnny Depp that now everytime I see him I think his style is basically the same (Makes sense?), but then he does do other more less crazy acting too, Secret Window for one, but then that was also crazy. Haha. And I like Anne Hathaway except for the excessive lipstick. Helena Bonham Carter's one line she kept repeating was hilarious! The Cheshire Cat was also just so funny!!!

In short, it was really fun! And the 3-D looks amazing, when you see it properly. I don't know why but the tint on the glasses seemed too thick that it made the movie look dark. And sometimes things move too fast for me to see them properly in 3-D. But all in all, it felt great and I loved watching it. I think it was because it was a fantasy movie. I love love love fantasy movies (Something I decided I will love... for now... at least).

Losing yourself in a fantasy world is just soooo much fun!!! And I think the British setting helped a bit. I now think every movie that has someone speaking in a British accent is just funs funs funs!!!

So go watch it and jump down a rabbit hole today!
