S1: Bioshock 2
Bioshock 2 Quote: If the world were reborn in your image, would it be paradise? Or perdition?
Bioshock 2 Launch Trailer:
Whoooo... I love how it looks and additionally, I'm loving the concept/story/potential of the world. I mean you are a 'man' in a 'scuba' suit fighting Big Sisters and all sorts of weird things in an underwater world called Rapture and you get to use telekinetic powers and stuff. And you have to collect ADAM and EVE or whatever. It just all sounds so enticing and new and rich and fun!
ANDddd... the Little Sisters creep the heck outta me!!!
If only I could stomach the first person view games thingy. *Haihz* Can someone like install a flight stabilizer in my brain so that I can take the nauseous feelings that crop up whenever I play a first person shooter? The more I see my friends and the more I look at Rooster Teeth the more I wanna play first person shooters. >.<
S2: Resident Evil: Lost in Nightmares

JILLLLLLLLLLLlllllllll!!!!!!!!
Did I mention? JILLLLLLLLllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!
XD

Lemme say it again... JIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLlllllll!!!!!!
Okay, I'm done. ^___^
Would love love love love love to play this... and probably RE5 as well. I tell you whenever if I do get a PS3/XBOX360, the old games I have to play will just take me forever. =.=
S3: KARA's Comeback
The Intro: (My copying may be wrong)
2010, 25th of February,
Move when it's dark,
Where the light and music are,
Steal the heart from the people,
Plan name: Lupin.
XDXDXDXD
So okay, I'm going a bit overboard with the fanboying, but I can't help it. they just look so awesome! And Lupin is a great song! (Can't say much about the other songs on the album though... ^^;;)
Umbrella (Not Rihanna's) was even more amazing. Both their performances were just amazing. Umbrella was cute while Lupin was sexy. XD
Just a 'bonus', my friend showed me this video and just kept on saying "Taeyeon damn cute siol". XD
Which I agree 100%. How can you not say that's cute? XD
S4: American Idol
The fun part. I realize I get more traffic here based on my AI posts than all my other pointless posts put together. Not that I care that much, but it's nice to get some traffic, even if it's just one or two new people. XD
Anyway, just cause someone said they wanted pictures (kenwooi.com... :P), I thought I'll just jump through all 24 candidates in the following two pictures based on everything except the last two episodes:

(I still can't recognize on sight, so if I made a mistake, sorry)
Top row: Lee DeWyze, Aaron Kelly, Tim Urban, Michael Lynche, Todrick Hall, Casey James, Alex Lambert
Bottom row: Andrew Garcia, John Park, Tyler Grady, Joe Muñoz, Jermaine Sellers
Of the guys, I really like Andrew Garcia (And apparently so does everyone else). I still wanna support John Park, but he is making it hard for me. Haha. Besides that, other guys I like is Joe Muñoz, Aaron Kelly and Michael Lynche. Everyone seems nice and great though, so I don't really have any preferences except for Andrew Garcia. If any guy were to win, I would like it to be Andrew Garcia. Haha.

(Also cannot 100% recognize, sorry if I made a mistake)
Not on couch: Didi Benami, Michelle Delamor, Katie Stevens, Crystal Bowersox, Paige Miles, Lacey Brown
On couch: Katelyn Epperly, Lilly Scott, Ashley Rodriguez, Siobhan Magnus, Janell Wheeler, Haeley Vaughn
Left this a bit too late, I kinda forgot what I wanted to say. Haha. Anyway, I really wanna support Didi Benami, Katie Stevens maybe, Lilly Scott and Janell Wheeler.
Now, assuming you've watched the latest episodes, you know that I can't really support the last one now can I? ^^;;
The surprising thing to me from the previous episodes was how bad the performances really were. I was kinda bored/horrified at the songs sang. Todrick Hall basically murdered a cult favorite of mine. Tim Urban destroyed One Republic's Apologize and Andrew Garcia was just disappointing (Although I am damn glad he did not get eliminated). John Park, I had no idea what he was singing, I actually thought he went and sang a Korean song at one point. ^^;;
Additionally, I do not agree that Joe Muñoz should have gotten eliminated. Tim Urban was waaayyyy worse than his rendition of You and I Both which was relatively good (Or at least good in comparison to all the others).
Tyler Grady was an okay elimination for me. Everyone else just did basically okay/near-horrible that someone just had to go lar, didn't really matter who went.
The girls, erm... I would've love Janell Wheeler to stay, for one, I think she's cute, for another... er... yea... that's all I've got. Ashley Rodriguez also I think was a waste to get eliminated, although if it wasn't her, it would've been Didi Benami, sooooo... kay... ^^;;
All in all, the previous few episodes of American Idol were just soooo god damn boring to watch. I didn't get any wow moments I wanted and I resorted to searching out Glee videos to watch some amazing performances. XD
More on that later. XD

~ American Idol - 12 Girls ~
I realized I didn't talk about the hollywood round previously cause I was at home enjoying CNY and I didn't really watch it properly (I did watch it, I just wasn't sure what happened). The thing I noticed was that a lot of my so called favorites didn't make it to the top 24. Which kinda sucks, cause now I have no one to support.
Looking at the current lineup, I think the people I can support are Andrew Garcia (I loved his performance of the Paula Abdul song, whatever that song was called), John Park (This is just cause he's a percentage Korean :P), Didi Benami (Yes, I'm supporting her cause I can remember her name! :P) and er... Lily Scott? (Also cause I remember her name, HAHAHAHAHA)
I can't really get a feel of who I really like though. And today's show didn't help. Not one performance really gave me a wow feeling. For the record, I love those "wow" moments. The best wow moment I got this American Idol season is still Andrew Garcia's Straight Up (Yes, I went to check it up... XD), which is why he is my favorite at the moment. Oh, and Michael Lynch (How to spell?) performances always gave me some wow feelings. XD
I was thinking today's show was mostly cause all the songs were just so... slow. I mean they are all like slow, gentle, smooth songs. They can still wow people, but I just didn't get any of it. Also, I felt like one of them was very nervous that her voice was quivering, can't remember which one, but just my feeling. Haha. All the performances were basically okay, but none of them were really memorable. Krytal Bowersox's performance was a bit interesting, but I found the harmonica playing a bit strange and I felt uncomfortable when she played it, I don't know why. XD
Anyway, hoping for better things tomorrow. I really wanna support a girl to win this season cause I'm just biased towards girls, but my vote still goes to Andrew Garcia to win at this moment in time. XD

~ KARA - Lupin ~
It looks really really good... and I'm lovin' the song. But I've heard the rest of the album and the other songs don't really do it for me. ^^
But the MV... whoo... I love how all of them look. Nicole especially. She looks so suave. XD
And I'm now following Gyuri and Nicole on Twitter!!!

It's verified by websites I trust, so I assume its accurate. Haha.
Gogo follow. :P
And today is the first time I replied to someone on Twitter. Haha. I've never done that before. I also finished my 002 star cards set today. Hyoyeon's 002 looks a bit weird actually, but a set is a set. ^^;;
Getting back into the swing of hating lecturers, hating lectures, hating tutorials and stuff. Ya know, all the fun good stuff that young people hate and realize they love once they start working and wish they were kids again so that they can go back to school and do nothing as compared to go to work and do something.
Ya know, the important stuff. ^^;;

~ How to get a headache ~
This post came about because I just washed my hair and since it's late, I have to sleep, so I have to quickly dry my hair, so I rubbed my hair so hard and long that the friction caused me to have a mini headache. The End.
...
I can sense some of you people going: "REALLY!? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS MAN!"
So to justify wasting your time, let me waste some more of it. ^__^v
How to get a headache:
1. Eat so full your stomach feels bloated and you feel like you wanna throw up.
2. Rub your head hard with a rough towel for 5 minutes non-stop.
3. Cram for your exam 2 hours before your exam.
4. Hit your head with a baseball bat while wearing a helmet. (Do not try this without a RESPONSIBLE'S adult supervision. ^^)
5. Watch LOST.
XD

~ But wait, your circle is square! ~
"Apparently my circles were not circley enough. Who knew?"
Although now I get some things though, like for one thing, my blog post titles sometimes have no indication of what I'm going to type in the post.
But anyway, who cares! Haha.
So let me start off by saying I had a hell of a few days. This CNY wasn't a very good one to me. There were fun parts like meeting relatives, meeting friends (And that... interesting steamboat... ^^;;;), Oh, and I had a fun 'gambling' session. It was small money lar, so not playing with a lot of cash, but I had a point where I had about triple my starting amount (Won around RM40?) then I lost it all on one hand. It was an epic fail and etc. etc.. But throughout most of this CNY, I was feeling sick.
Started off with me getting a sore throat, then when I thought that was getting better, I had this either gastric attack or you could say it was food poisoning, regardless of which one it was, it felt like crap. I mean I got up twice yesterday in the middle of the night to throw up. It was bad... =.=
It was kinda depressing then that I had to skip out on the satay celup outing my friends planned (It's been ages since I last ate that). I was feeling better by the time I was supposed to go out for it if I had wanted to, but eating friend, oily food would in no way have been good for me.
But anyway, I have since learnt to not regret taking the actions I have taken, cause, really, what's the point in that? What's done is done. ^^
On happier notes:
1. My 1080p videos can now finally shine. I mean really really shine. I haven't seen videos this nice and big since the time I stood at the opening of Harvey Norman and watched SNSD's Genie. XD
2. KARA - Lupin
I want the MV!!! I love the part where Nicole (I assume) goes "Two-oh-one-oh"! XD
Although I love that there'll be some rivalry going on, I wish that I could have all of them winning the number 1 spot on all music charts. It's kinda hard to support my number one and two groups at the same time. (Thank god After School and Brown Eyed Girls are not releasing anything at this point)
3. ... no really other fun stuff at this moment. Hmm... still waiting for my Oh! album. I should really call up to ask about it by now. ^^

~ Bioshock 2 ~

One day, I will be able to tell you how much I enjoyed playing the game rather than how awesome the game looks only.
One day, one day.
But the cover is looking damn creepy, damn eerie and so damn cool. XD
I've seen videos of it on YT and I love the "characters" names. Little Sister, Big Daddy, Big Sister, etc. etc.. Although I still think the game will scare the shitz outta me. The caste system does look very interesting though, I would love to read up on it to figure out how they came up with it.
But in any case, I won't be playing anything anytime soon anyway. Haihz. Just watching videos and reading up on it. So sien... =.=
~ A Thousand Splendid Suns ~

Kinda didn't expect to get so immersed into this book.
I mean the books I read are all science fiction or fantasy. I didn't really expect to be so caught up in these sort of half-real half-fictional book. I'm not entirely sure how true the situation is in Afghanistan, but if it is as it is in the book, I kinda underestimated the situation there.
The title comes from this poem titled "Kabul", by the 17th-century Persian poet Saib-e-Tabrizim, this is the specific line:
One could not count the moons that shimmer on her roofs
And the thousand splendid suns that hide behind her walls
I think it's talking about the beauty of Kabul... I'm not very poetic, but that's what I get from the line.
Anyway, the book is a very good read, considering that I could finish it in a relatively short amount of time. What I find powerful about the book is that it kinda crushes you with all the bad and sorrowful things that happens to Mariam and Laila, and then it crushes you some more. I was almost heartbroken around the end of part three. But the nice thing is that the book shows that no matter how heartbroken you can get, there's always something worth celebrating in life, no matter how small.
Ultimately, I do really love this book. I don't say I like many non-scifi or fantasy books that much, so this is saying something. ^^
Also loved the ending. I'm a sucker for referential endings. XD
So this does make me wanna read Khaled Hosseini's first book, "The Kite Runner", but then as I've seen this: "Just in case you're wondering whether Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns is as good as The Kite Runner, here's the answer: No. It's better."
So issit worth it to read a book that is not better than the book I've just read? XD
Still, the other thing is that "The Kite Runner" is already a movie, so maybe I might as well just catch that movie and be done with it. It would be nice to see "A Thousand Splendid Suns" made into a movie too though. Which, looks likely to happen. Haha.
-*-*-*-*-*-
On a different note, I went out to have steamboat and drinks with my friends. It was fun, relatively, but I did control my drinking as for one, I did not want to get rashes all over me as I did last time and another, I don't really wanna handle the headache that I had last time.
Although it still seems I will be getting some rashes. My right hand already feels numb as it is. Seems like I can't really take alcohol, or maybe I'm just not really used to it. Not sure I really wanna 'get used to it' though. ^^

~ 2, 1 ~
2nd win on Music Bank, 1st win on Inkigayo (I think).
I dunno why I care so much about their wins when normally I didn't really bother before. But anyway, I am keeping a tally at this point, so I'm hoping it hits 9 wins at Music Bank at least, if it doesn't surpass it. Although I get the feeling that's going to be harder than it was when Gee hit 9 wins.
And KARA's coming back... whee... let me state for the record that I love KARA as well, maybe not as much as SNSD, but just maybe 0.0000001% less (Not to scale).
Following that would be After School with another 0.0000001% less (Also not to scale).
And every other group out there. Just add a 0.0000001% less to the equation.
XD
On that note, I've been loving' CNBlue's I'm a Loner. Which speaks kinda a lot to me since I kinda like roaming around by myself sometimes/most-of-the-time.
Although the lyrics doesn't exactly apply. But I love the title. XD
Additionally, I should really SMS/call my friend to wish her Happy CNY. I've been wanting to do that since the eve of CNY till now and I still haven't done it. =.=
Ahh, friends. ^^;;;
I'm lovin' my Star Card Collection Set at the moment btw. It's not exactly complete (Far from it actually), but I still love it nonetheless. XD
I will post pictures of it once I get to it. I just don't feel like it at this point, what with my sniffling and sore throat. Haihz...

~ Happy CNY!!! ~
Nothing much, just to say Happy Chinese (Lunar) New Year!!!
To add to that, I'm actually feeling sick. Goddammit... =.=
Anywayz, hope you all get lots of monies and stuff from your people. :P
Oh, and this is a fun CNY for me cause it's my sign. (Tiger!) Although that means I'm getting older... haha...
Anyway, Happy CNY 2010!!!!

~ Transmorphers ~
Was looking up some film studios (For no apparent reason) and I was looking at "I Am Legend" (Which I liked) and I came upon this B-grade movie called "I Am Omega". So then I was redirected to the movie studio and I saw that they made a movie called "Transmorphers".
Taken from Wikipedia about "Transmorphers": "Rolf Potts of The New York Times described Transmorphers as having "no recognizable actors, no merchandising tie-ins and a garbled sound mix. Also unlike Transformers, it has cheap special effects and a subplot involving lesbians."
It already sounds more awesome than "Transformers". I think I'm going to look this up. XD
On that note, I was thinking about "I Am Legend" because a new movie coming out soon reminded me of it: "The Book of Eli".

Looks kinda cool. Haha. Might go catch it when it comes out.
Following that, I started trying to think up of all the movies where the human race is hit by a worldwide plague, like "Resident Evil: Extinction", "I Am Legend", "Zombieland", "28 Days Later", "28 Weeks Later", "Dawn of the Dead", etc. etc..
Missing any? Let me know. XD
Although, most of those I didn't actually watch. Haha. What's with the world and its obsession over the end of the human race?
Short American Idol note: I lost Erica Rhodes!!!! Nuuuu!!!! Who am I gonna support now without the Barney girl?
Andrew Garcia did magnificently though:
I don't remember listening to Paula Abdul's Straight Up (Although I think I would recognize it if I heard it), but I daresay his version is quite the much the better.

XD

~ Traffic Jam ~
Weirdest name for a song title, but quite a damn nice song. XD
It's interesting how I can go from the cutesy cherry bubblegum cheerleader pop songs to orchestral arrangements (Of a sort).
Just posting here to say I am damn bloody jealous of some people (Mainly in Canada) for having so many things that I want for myself. It's bloody irritating to me. I mean it's damn nice to see the stuff, but it just makes me want it soooo much more. =.=
American Idol in a while more... wheee... I'll probably talk about that after I watch it. But from what I read online so far, Ellen apparently did well and some contestants I liked all got knocked out. I dunno who to support anymore liao. XD
More on that later... or tomorrow... or whenever... ^^

~ Happy Happy ~
My days are just so Sunny!!! XD

Ever wonder why I feel so bright and sunny these days? This is it! XD
Anyways...
I forgot what I was blogging about...
HAHAHA.
But it has been a good day. I rushed through my assignment and it felt good, even though I was rushing it. And I made potentially good trades today, really really good trades, so that's good. XD
I wish I had more money though and that I could do more, but this is what I can do at this point, so I'll just roll with it.
Anyway, kinda pointless post, I remember having a point... oh wait... I remember, I wanted to complain about the fact that they renamed the Mexican Wave the Kallang Wave. I mean what's up with that? Why can't you just use the term "Mexican Wave"?
Although now that I've just googled it, I realized there is a movie called "Kallang Wave". Doesn't really change my point though. Haha.
Sorry to take up your time. But it's been a good day. Really, the influence of Sunny on my life really has been extraordinary. XD
(On that note, if you know what the cards are and if you are looking for trades, do leave a comment... or find me, Firoen@Soshified. XD)

~ Display Units ~
My life these days have been consisting of me trying to get to a console display unit to play games. Yes, that's how sad it sounds.
Doing this, I've gotten about 3 hours of console gaming, consisting of games like Explosion Man (Hell of a weird game), ODST (Even playing for only 40 minutes, it's still bloody awesome) and Uncharted 2 (I can see the appeal in that game now).
So now someone go put Left 4 Dead 2 in the display unit so that I can play it. XD
There is a simpler method to solve this gaming 'addiction' of mine though. GET A BLOODY CONSOLE!!! Which, I wish I could do it, but for one, I have no permanent place to put/keep it nor do I have a TV to hook it up to. And additionally, I do not have the cash to splurge on one of those fancy looking consoles nor TVs.
Ah, well...
Oh, I should mention that I got ever so furious at this small kid for hogging the controller but not playing. I think he was 5 years old? Haha. He was just standing there holding the controller while the screen was at pause. I mean what the hell, someone needs to teach this kid to have some respect and give it up to people who desperately wanna play. XD
HAHAHAHA
L4D2 trailer here:
Looks awesome... XD
A Resident Evil mod using the Half-Life 2 engine, it really does look good. ^^

~ 별별별 ~
*Updated with better link... XD*
This was just awesome. Yoona's narration at the beginning was heartbreaking... XD
And everyone did beautifully. There are talks of some of them lipsyncing, but hell, doesn't really matter to me, it IS still an epic performance.
They should've ended the show with this rather than Oh! Haha. I know Oh! is their song at this point, but I soooo much prefer 별별별 over Oh!
*Additionally:*
SNSD - Oh!
After School - When I Fall
After School's When I Fall is equally amazing!!! XD

~ Why the surprise? ~
Really, why is everyone so psyched out that they won? Was it ever in doubt that they would win? ^^
Although the fact that people still psych out when their groups wins something they already know they would win is probably why they are winning. And I say winning cause I'm 100% certain they will win again next week. I mean it's not even a question anymore.
The only question is whether they can hold on to it for more than 9 weeks. That's the interesting part.
And for the record, I am excited that they won. I mean, I knew they would win, just seeing them win is something else entirely. (So okay, I'm probably one of those who psyched out...)
Additionally, I'm freaking happy that they destroyed the voting numbers... 20k++ win... demolished 2AM and CNBlue's scores, that is really something else. XD
Music Core and Inkigayo within the next two days. Someone gimmie a hell yeah!!! XD

~ Ah... Oh! ~
So okay, I never did exactly come out and say "I hated the song", but I wasn't that big of a fan of it. But still, after seeing the Inkigayo performance, I have to say, I love both of those songs. XD
I mean looking at Oh! choreography is just scintillating... XD
And Show! Show! Show! isn't that bad either. I'm just being fussy when I say I prefer the other songs. These songs are still perfectly spammable and perfectly perfect to listen to. XD

~ Days of Unrest ~
The good stuff first...

AJA AJA!!!
SNSD - Oh!
I mean, come on, did you need to ask what I think is the most important thing to me at this moment? I mean I spent half a day today trying to wrangle a card from someone else. XD
Additionally, I attended my first... recital?

So, okay, I messed up a bit. I actually thought it would be a full orchestra. It was went I got there and sat down that I realized, it was only six people performing (In a Clarinet Trio, Horn Trio and Piano Quartet)
But anyway, I stuck through it and it was kinda fun. I dozed off a bit during the Horn Trio because orchestral music really just does that to me. But the Piano Quartet was fantastic! I mean it was really really really good. It was also evident that the cellist loved doing what he did as he played, since he had a smile on his face most of the time. The violinist was also remarkable. Since I have no idea how to play any of those, I'll just leave it at that. XD
On to the head hitting stuff...

*Owww... TT.TT*
I feel kinda stressed out with all this 'work' stuff I have to do. Writing a resume... looking for jobs... preparing for interviews... it's kinda taxing and really, I don't think I'm actually ready for it. Still, the time has come, and I do really need to do it whether I am prepared or want to or not... =.=
Growing up kinda sucks. Haha.
I've had a weird week so far. The week before I had a stretch of extremely good days, for no apparent reason, then I had a direct bad day after that stretch, then a slew of normal days till yesterday when my day felt a bit right'er again after the concert (I throughly enjoyed it).
Now I think it can only go downhill. ^^;;
I'm still behind on awards show of 2009... and it's February! I'm soooo screwed. This is an issue of wanting it all and having no drive to get it all. Why are things so damn complicated?
Haihz. Anyway... to end this off with stuff that will make me happy...
SNSD - Gee + Oh!
I still think Oh! is a bit of a waste of a song. Just because the trend is all electro-pop and catchy tunes and what not doesn't mean you must follow the trend. Why not start and create your own trend? All in all, I do love the fact that they've returned with a bang and are destroying the charts, but I would've liked something like "Forever" to come in somewhere. (That may or may not lose out to 2AM though, they are amazing ballad singers)
KARA - Mr.
Oh! Seungyeon! You sexy thang!

~ Orbital Drop Shock Troopers ~
I'm loving this game. Besides the fact that I don't have an XBOX360 and that I've only ever played it while standing at the XBOX360 display booths and playing it for stretches of 40 minutes or so. (I've done this about three time already... XD)
But it really is just so fun. This game and it's previous iterations (Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars and the upcoming Halo Reach) are the main reason why I am even considering getting an XBOX360 before the PS3 (Which only has the Final Fantasy series to tempt me).
Ultimately, I would love to get both consoles and throw in a Wii (Nothing there I really want to play, maybe RE: Umbrella Chronicles) just for the heck of it. But that's talk for later.
Another thing though, is that ODST does have a freaking awesome soundtrack.
ODST OST on YT
I've heard it before, but it didn't sound as good as it did when I turned it on this morning at the ungodly hour of 6.30am. It just sounded awesome. Maybe it's the sort of OST you have to listen to when you're in a dazed sort of state. Cause I was kinda out of it, but it still just sounded "Oh, so good!".
On other news:
I've sent out some "letters with goods" and am hoping to get back some "letters with goods" by the time I get home for CNY. Hopefully. (Mail system don't fail me now!)
I still haven't shown you what I was so excited about a few days prior. I'll get to it, but chances are I'll probably get to it when I do go back for CNY where I can see my collection in all its glory. XD
I'm attending a concert today. I wish it was SNSD's concert, or even to some extent, a pop concert. So far almost all concerts I've attending are classical, which while not a bad thing, is a wholly different experience from attending a pop concert (I guess). I would really really really love to see SNSD in person though, that would be just dandy. XD
