~ Wings of Liberty ~

I wish I could buy it right now dammit... ><

Additionally, I couldn't help it and went and read up the entire story already. So I already know what happens at the end. Kinda contradictory to what I normally do, but hey, who cares? Just cause I know the story doesn't mean I don't want to play it anymore. XD

In fact I wanna learn more of the multiplayer part. I am really itching to try out the baneling bust, four gate, MMM and a whole lot of other strats I hope to study and try out one of these fine days... ^^;

For now, I have to settle with just watching Husky and HD provide me awesome awesome shoutcasts and simple videos tutorials to tide me over... thank god for YouTube. XD

~ Of all the dang-nabbing-money-grubbing Fools ~

I went to the casino yesterday...

...

Well, I didn't actually lose a lot. Haha. But then when you're inside of a casino and when you're outside of a casino, you actually do value money differently. 50 dollars inside a casino is actually nothing while outside, you can't imagine the things I can do with 50 dollars.

And 50 dollars is seriously nothing inside. I see people there playing by 500 dollars and they never actually stop. It's insane!!!

On the other hand though, I can now actually say I have entered and played in a casino before, while last time I could only say I've been into a casino before.

This one in particular. I've also been to this one...

Which I also went to to attend the Wonder Girl's showcase at the time (If interested, it's here, I think I've probably self promoted this post on this blog the most times ever... I kinda do love it... :P).

Anyway, on my casino trip, ultimately we made the trip because finally, all three of us (My brothers and I) could actually enter the casino. So we made a trip of it to see what was so exciting to travel to a place to give away our money.

I mean think about it. We were spending money, to get a place, where they will just take our money willy-nilly and we were happy and excited about it. Isn't that just weird?

And people there get so excited over the smallest things. You keep hearing people yell "PICTURE!! PICTURE!!". Lol...

My brothers and I though, ultimately decided to just stick to a game we understood, well, roughly anyway. Blackjack! I got on to such an awesome winning streak that we won back our capital at the time and when I started to lose, we got up and left the table. I think that was our best move at the time. I was playing (COO), my brother took the winnings (CFO) and my other brother gave advice on how to play (CEO). :P

But that was the only good part of the gambling day though, before that we lost our money without any particular reason and after that we tried again and just lost what was left of our allocated money. All in all, we came out of there with a 250 dollar deficit. Which, while inside the casino, didn't really feel like much, but when you come out, you realize, "EH! I lost 250 dollars!!!???"

Even with all that though, I would actually go again. Stick to our strategy and how can we lose!? Well, actually, whenever you go to a casino, you have to be prepared to lose, so yeah. I would go again next time cause there's just something about it that's actually fun, potentially addictive. Hahaha.

Some other stuff:

I almost, ALMOST, got to go and see these three pretty ladies.

Before their mini showcase was cancelled. God dammit... ~.~

~ My Birthday Celebration Plan for Ken Wooi ~

First off, sorry for keeping it so late. I kinda was playing around with the idea of what to do, and then I reread the thing and I realized that it needed to be realistic. Soooo... I gave up on that idea and thought of just going for something simpler...

Which is to hire a professional party planning company!!!

Yes, so I'll leave all the work to them and I'll just collect my free ipod from Kenwooi...

*whisper whisper mumble mumble* ... what do you mean I can't do that?

*whisper whisper mumble mumble* ... so apparently I have to plan it myself... who knew?

Anyway, I had a whole elaborate make-no-sense plan thought out, but it, in short, made no sense. So I'm going for simplicity.

First off, to truly enjoy this holy day, we will have to distract Ken's gf...

With another Ken. I doubt it'll be hard. We don't actually need to do this, I just felt like slipping that picture in. :P

So anyway, the idea is just to travel and par-tay!!! Cause that's the basic ideas I get from your blog most of the time. (Besides the humor and the ham-sap-ness... :P)

So morning, we go driving underwater!!!

And party underwater!!!

But with party and water, it can never be complete without these can it?

Well, unless everyone's so uptight about it that they just stand there and refuse to party...

That'll just be awkward...

Or even worse, some people go and emo in a corner...

But I'm certain that people will party lar... or at least, have a cup of tea.

And then after we are back on dry land... I figured we should go for a fashion show!!!

Which, why would a straight guy go for a fashion show right? But why not!?

I mean seriously! WHY NOT!? XD (For more pictures btw: here)

Anyway, by then it should be night, so we can then go and party like there's no tomorrow!!!

Ignore the name on the cake... lol...

With special guests...

And more than one Princess Leia... cause, well, why not... :P

And the person of the day!!!

Making a grand entrance!!!

And mainly just have cocktail drinks and party till the sun goes... down... then up... again... yes... I have no sense of time... XD

So anyway, that's the gist of the plan. Guest list is to be decided, but imagine if we get all the people you've seen in the post and your friends and family and people you never met before, I think it'll be a damn bloody sweet party... :P

So to end this, I hope this was realistic enough of a plan, and that it was suitably entertaining enough, AND most importantly, that you have a hell of a good time on the 31st July! XD

Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (In advance... :P)

And btw Ken...

You have your head on MY suit of armor. :P

PS: I also have planned extensively for your security...

I mean you need security right? A famous blogger like you... :P

***END OF PLANNING STAGE***

Requirements:

Contest details here: Plan Ken Wooi's bday party and win an IPOD!!!

Gogo... I know not much time left, but just go and plan a tea party or something and throw in dragons... it'll be fun!!! XD

I can't believe how hard it was to type this. Normally I don't post all the hamsap photos willy nilly on here. But since I'm trying to bribe my way to a free ipod, I guess it's worth it. :P

And ultimately, it was fun!!! I can say thought that the plan kept changing as when I saw a new picture I just have to use, I just threw in in there somehow. Hahaha.

Anyway, that's my long-prepared-then-scrapped-and-then-last-minute-typed entry for your contest. Haha. I hope that even if it doesn't win (Which, I don't really think the plan is very realistic or very fun...) I hope at least it entertained you a bit... XD

All in all, my best for your birthday on the 31st, and I'm really sorry for doing this so late. But better late than never right? ^^;

And one last time, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEN WOOI!!! XDXDXD

~ Shoutout!!! ~

Doing this formally for the first time. Not sure why. But I just felt like it. Hahaha.

1. To Gail. I will get you that thank you card. Just wait lar. Haha. I've been planning on doing it yesterday or today, but people called me up to go for interview, then cancelled on me, then rescheduled me again. Lol. I can only promise to get to it before the end of this month (I actually hope to finish it by this week though). But anyway, just to say thanks. And shoutout. Lol. And if anyone interested, go here to read her blog: A Space of My Own.

2. Kenwooi. Lol. I'm doing a shoutout to you cause you're one of the people that do actually comment in my posts. So thanks! And I've been concocting ideas for your contest. So sorry that it's slow, but read the first shoutout to know why lar. I also will try to get it out before this week's end. Or at the very least, before the deadline. XD Anyway, if anyone interested, his blog is here: kenwooi. Some really funny posts and he has a really hot girlfriend. :P

Not sure if they will ever read this. But hey, might as well lar. Lol.

My offer for the CD & DVD & note still stands btw, changing the rules to now just ask me. Read the end of this post for details. Lol. But you might wanna wait for me to get my card out to Gail before asking for it. Since I still cannot be fully trusted yet anyway. Hahaha.

Some other stuff:

I've been spamming this:

Super Junior - No Other

I just think it's a damn cool song. Haha. At the very least, I think it's a much better song than Bonamana, which I do not get. Haha.

Anyway, that's about it. Besides the fact that you would think an unemployed person would be free right? Apparently that's not true. I've never felt more swamped or busy. Haihz... being an 'adult' kinda sucks. Besides the fun parts... that is... lol.

~ Mister ~

KARA - Mister

I have been waiting for this for quite some time. Seriously, this is the song that put KARA on the map! They did get some pretty good promotion with their previous songs (Pretty Girl & Honey), but Mister with the stupidly awesome butt dance just threw their popularity into overdrive. XD

On some news, I'm going down to Singapore again, this time hoping to land myself a job. Haihz. I hope someone hires me faster. I mean come one. Am I that unhireable? (I don't think that's a word... hahaha)

So... that's all I gotta say for this post. Haha. See ya down under!

July 16, 2010

~ Bohemian Rhapsody ~

Look at Jessi and all his Vocal Adrenaline mates... lol...

I was listening to this the whole day today

Glee Version - Bohemian Rhapsody

I actually thought it was an opera song or something. I mean it sure sounds like one. Then I realized it was actually a song by Queen.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Although when I listened to the original, I was actually quite bored. Is it just me or are old classics very slow in tempo? Look at another Glee remake, Journey's Don't Stop Believing and Glee's version. It feels so damn slow. Haha.

But then you've gotta give them credit. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't get to listen to some really awesome performances now. And you also gotta give it to Glee for making old songs sound new. XD

One other stuff, my Fate of the Jedi ALL HARDCOVER collection... so far...

Awesome right? Right? I took this picture today after wrapping all of my books. Hardcover books are a bitch to wrap. Seriously.

~ The doings of a jobless insomniac ~

So I'm jobless. I have a degree, with honours no less (3rd Class, I'm not that good :P), and I'm jobless.

Oh yippie yay!

Partly my fault, cause I'm reluctant to get off my ass and be more proactive in sending out resumes. I just did send out 4 or 5 more just now, and have plans to send out 4 or 5 more tomorrow. So I guess that's reasonably okay. I did also sent out 4 or 5 more last week. So I guess in that respect I'm quite well covered. I just now need to wait to get someone to hire me dammit.

I'm getting a bit desperate to find a job actually. You may not see me say it out loud, but I do kinda want to get a job like, now. Mainly cause I need money. You see, I took money from my parents to pay for a flight to Thailand, which now, is basically money down the drain. It may seem like I don't really care about that, but I do so want to get some money so that I can at least reimburse my parents for that RM500 or so. All the other expenses for that trip I can get back, it's only the stupid flight that is considered a waste and it's kinda eating me up inside.

Besides that reason, I also do need to money to kinda plan for a potential Taiwan trip. I say potential because I dunno if I will be going yet. It's ironic that my plans kinda seem to always lead me to places I've already been. I've been to Thailand and Taiwan. And I've planned an unsuccessful trip to Thailand and I'm thinking of a trip to Taiwan. :/

Additionally, I need the money so that I can buy stuff. I mean ultimately, money does make the world go round. ^^

Other reasons I need the job though, is so that I will not forget all the stupid stuff I've learnt in Uni so far. It seems kinda a waste to spend all that time studying something and not go into a field which actually requires me to use it no?

I may talk about how I regret not standing up for myself for my likes and dislikes or having more drive to direct my own life, but that will not be this post.

It's 3.46am at the moment. I don't really feel sleepy though. Maybe it's cause of the World Cup euphoria.

Spain won btw. XD

People keep saying that the match was bad, very unsportsmanlike, a scrappy affair, etc. etc. I personally thought it was great.

The football wasn't the best, that I admit. I mean, Holland seemed to have only thought of one way to handle Spain and that was to foul them everytime they got the ball. But I loved the match because it was tense like hell. I mean I was almost on the edge of my seat. It was almost on the verge of being stressful as everytime one side got near the net on the other side it was a question of how much damage they could do.

It wasn't the best match I've seen, but I was actually watching history in the making. I was actually watching the match where the 8th country will win the World Cup! It was kinda mind blowing if you ask me.

So besides my nonesense rambling on the World Cup, I spend most of my day reading this today...

Brisingr

Christopher Paolini's Brisingr. Third book in the Inheritance Cycle.

I didn't buy this when it first came out because I did get tired of the Inheritance Trilogy (It was a trilogy at the time) and I wanted to give up on it. But I saw this book for only SGD$8 in Singapore and I just had to get it. I mean it was so cheap, it was basically a bargain.

And I had to quickly read it so that I didn't have to lug it back and forth with me from Malaysia and Singapore. I have to say though, that I did actually enjoy it. Some parts did bore me especially when it was characters that I didn't really care for, but the other parts were thoroughly entertaining.

And I do see why people say it's a blatant rip-off of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. I would also like to add in another, which is Harry Potter. Reading this book felt like I was reading the best of all three of those highly regarded series. I guess it's a compliment as well an insult at the same time. Haha.

But it was thoroughly entertaining. I will probably get the fourth book now, but I would probably wait till it was at cheap prices as I did with Brisingr. XD

Anyway, last thing I wanna say before I go:

I'm in love love love, I'm in loovee... :P

So okay, just joking. But she sure looks cute. Hahaha. I stumbled upon her by watching Husky's videos, sooo... yea... :P

Anyway, that'll all for today. I feel like I have a lot of other things to talk about but I can't seem to remember it and seriously anyway, who do you think is gonna read up to this point anyway? :P

If you did, leave me a comment and I will send you something. I'm thinking a CD, maybe a collector card or just a thank you note. I do have the CD and the cards btw, I just dunno if you want it. HAHAHA. Anyway, first three people to comment and say if you want the CD, card/s or thank you note will get it. I swear it on Aiur. :P

*Note: If you really did ask me for it, do let me know how I can contact you so that I can send it out. I'm deadly serious. Lol.*

~ Super 8 & Inception ~

Super 8

Give it up to J.J Abhrams to churn out movies/trailers/series that are so intriguing people just have to go and watch them. :P

As usual, no idea what this show is about, but hey, I thoroughly enjoyed Cloverfield, even though I normally hate those sort of monster/horror movies, so I'm hoping this movie will bode well for me too.

Got a whole load of viral marketing as well, I just checked out some of it and looks interesting, even if it doesn't make much sense yet. I'll look at it again maybe when I've got time later. XD

Anyway, before that, next week, INCEPTION!!!

I tried to check out when GSC would be showing it, but the only two movies in their website listed for Dataran Pahlawan is Triple Tap and ZOO. What gives?

~ Inception ~

Inception

Trailer #1

Trailer #3

Character Trailer

Looks bloody awesome!!!

Love the lines also.

I made a mistake though, I got so psyched about this movie that I went and read up a lot about it and watched all the trailers and TV shorts that I think I may be underwhelmed when I see the actual movie. >.<

Still, there's always hope. It's Christopher Nolan after all and with that stunning cast (Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Tom Berenger, Dileep Rao and Michael Caine) it's looks like it's going to be awe-some!!!

~ Google Background Image ~

I was just randomly surfing around and when I opened a new window of Google Chrome, I noticed some small words on the bottom left hand side of the browser:

Huh interesting no? So I tried it out.

Wonder Girls from the Singapore Showcase

Sooyoung from the SEOUL video

Suju and SNSD also from the SEOUL video

Alodia and Ashley from the Mascot Parade

So... I actually dunno which one to choose... in the end, I went with this...

:P

Cause really, having so many colors on the background is just distracting to me. Imagine if I go to google and I want to find something, I see the picture and I totally blank out on what I want to search. Hehe.

Besides, I like the simplest of things, so figures I should just stick with the simple things. ^^

~ Mascot Parade ~

This is a quick post to just talk about the Mascot Parade that I went to a few days ago. I did not attend the whole thing as I wasn't really 100% interested in the whole event, but I saw that there were going to be special guests there and I figured I've got the time, so why not drop by and see:

Alodia and Ashley!!! XD

Some of you may know them as Ani-mates on Astro's channel 715 or better known as Animax.

Alodia
Ashley

Or you could just otherwise know them as two very pretty looking girls. Pictures above are taken from their respective deviant art sites: Alodia's DA, Ashley's DA.

Anyway, I figured I'll just go around and see if I can get a glimpse of them. I didn't actually plan on going to all the events and stuff, but I did catch the cosplay contest results announcement thingy.

Cactuar!!! Damn bloody cute leh this idiotic cactus!!!

Some Monster Hunter... thingy. I dunno what he's supposed to be.

Predator! Do Predators roar? This one kept roaring. I don't know if they roar... :P

War Machine! Not the best War Machine I've seen, but I guess it's fine.

Some warlock and mage or something. From WOW. He was going on and on and on about how he will dismember our limbs and stuff. It was really quite boring. :P

Group photo... ^^

My mistake throughout this entire thing so far was that I did not realize that Alodia and Ashley were the judges of the competition. So they were actually sitting like 2 meters away from me on my right. It was halfway through the competition thingy that I realized they were there and by then it was kinda late to move to get a good picture of them anyway.

But then they did go up on stage to give the prizes away.

Ashley hugging the cactus. I also wanna hug!!! The cactus... that is... :P

Looking so cute and demure. I have no idea who she is cosplaying though. If anyone knows, help me out. XD

ROARRRRR!!!

Suck it Iron Man!

Anyway, after all that, they all went away to somewhere, I initially didn't feel like following, but in the end, it was like what the heck, just follow lar... since I did that I did get some more pictures. They went to that place so that the fans could take pictures or something I guess.

So that's that. My pictures are of really lousy quality though, so sorry for that. Although now I do realize why all the people all around me had big ass cameras. I think I now kinda see the appeal in a DSLR. Although I'm not really sure I know how to use it effectively. Haha.

Cool thing about that day was that I did get to see Alodia and Ashley. Haha. It was kinda cool to see them up close. Maybe taking a picture with them would've been more awesome, but they looked kinda busy and who wants to spoil a beautiful picture by putting me in it? :P

All pictures I deem nice enough to put up here in Facebook: Mascot Parade Album
