First off, I really really prefer this version compared to the original.
Sam Tsui - Firefly
Although given, the original also isn't bad, I just think this version is much much better. The guy singing the song in the video I linked above is Sam Tsui. He works a lot with his friend Kurt Schneider. You can find more of their work on the YouTube account of the video above. Quite a lot of cool stuff.
Anyway, just to say, I know I haven't been updating a lot these days, but it seems like everytime I sit down and think about updating, I really can't think of what to update. Yes, my life is that boring.
Oh, one fun thing I did today though, I went to do some survey thingy. It involved me going to Singapore General Hospital and had me choosing how much I would pay to look at pictures of girls.
The survey was set up so that there were two choices, each choice was accompanied by a star rating of the picture of the girl and the cost it would cost for me to see the picture. I essentially had to measure the cost and the rating and choose which girl I wanted to see.
Some choices were easy, like when I had to choose between one star and five stars and the cost was one cents and two cents respectively. Others were harder, like if I had to choose between four stars and five stars and the cost of the five star picture was way higher than the four star picture. Do I pay more to see a one-star better picture or go low and see a relatively high rating picture?
I say that like it involves a lot of thinking and while it kinda does, the point that I want to make here is that I went to do a paid survey where I got to do nothing but just look at pictures of girls. ^^;
Oh, and I got to rate the pictures at the end. I think that's how they determine the star rating. Some people have got weird perception of beauty. Some three star pictures looked better to me than the four star ones. One star and five star though, were mostly spot on.
Anyway, I wish I could just sit down and look at girls all day and get paid for it. Would be a fun job no? XD

~ Waka Waka Eh Eh ~
Shakira - Waka Waka
Stupid song got stuck in my head for the past few days. Also partly due to the fact that my brothers and I were just randomly singing the song on and off. I is a catchy song anyway, so nothing wrong with it being stuck in my head. Lol. Plus, Shakira looks much better than in She Wolf (I hated that song and video)
I didn't actually post anything on the World Cup yet actually. One reason is because, I don't really care all that much. Another reason is that I only have a few goals to achieve concerning this World Cup:
1. Watch the first, semi-finals and finals at least.
2. Try to watch Netherlands matches.
3. ... that's about it actually. Lol.
If I were to add on any new ones, I would say watch Brazil. I was throughly impressed by their performance against Ivory Coast. Another one is Portugal, who, if you don't know yet, thrashed North Korea 7-0. That was nice to watch for me cause I think it was awesome to see Ronaldo playing so happily. Lol.
Anyway, World Cup so far has been relatively fun. All the funny teams all losing and funnier teams are all winning. :P
Stupid thing is that I don't have Astro Supersport, so I only get to see matches that are shown on RTM, which I initially thought was most of the matches, but now I see is apparently not true. I just hope I get to see the final now. That probably won't be much issue, but I have no idea where I will be when the final come around, still travelling all over the place. Sigh
And I need a job. Anyone? Graduate willing to sweep floors for food. Anyone? :P

~ Wonder Girls: Singapore Showcase ~
So today's the day!
The day where I finally finally, meet one of Kpop's most popular, most successful, most enigmatic, most beautiful groups ever.
THE WONDER GIRLS!!!! XDXDXDXD
I had previously met them up close and personal the day before though, read it here if you wanna: Wonder Girls: Meet and Greet
But anyway, today's the important day. I mean I actually actually ACTUALLY get to see them perform LIVE! I mean LIVE! The connotations of this fact did not really dawn on me till I sat down and thought about it, I have actually been watching their performances for a bit, so I've seen them perform before on YouTube, through videos I downloaded or on the TV even. BUT THIS TIME I WAS GOING TO SEE IT LIVE!!! And up close too. Lol.
Anyway, I got there at 3pm, for a 7pm show. Yeah, kiasu right? Actually, the group I was supposed to go with got there at 11.30am, even more kiasu right? However, there was a group who supposedly got there at 6am. The most kiasu one I've heard is that two people actually camped outside the day before.
... really? I've heard of these things happening before, but REALLY!?
But anyway, thanks to my awesome awesome friends, I got there 'late' and still managed to get a relatively good spot, like 3 or 4 rows from the front. So it was... okay I guess. If I had wanted to I guess I could've bullied my way nearer to the front, but I wasn't really fussy. XD
The stage
Personally, I was hoping they would like show silhouettes of the girls on the 5 screens and then they can appear next to them, but I guess it wasn't that high tech of a show.
The stage was fine, just that when you're waiting to see them and they keep playing that bloody Sony Erikson ad over and over and over and over and over again, it gets irritating.
They finally make it on stage!!!
I think that's Jamie Yeo? Yea, well, didn't really matter to me at this point. On another day maybe I would've been more excited by that fact. Haha.
Wheeee...
So there was some interviewing, some talking...
Sunye is ♥♥♥ btw...
... some laughing

... some prize winning
Smile dammit!!!
... some charity giving

... then the show began!!!
Started off with 2 Different Tears!!!
2-2 too-too
Can't believe I actually saw that in person... I mean... really... I can't believe it... XDXDXD
Then they did Pussycat Dolls' Don't Cha. Initially I thought it was a weird choice, but it was hottt!!!
Yes yes, I wish my girlfriend was as hot as you... ^^;
Followed which, by So Hot!!! I just told my friends while waiting outside that my favorite song of their was So Hot!!! I was actually put on the spot, so I just blurted out any song name I could think off, but I do like So Hot, soo... it's all good!!! And I find it genius that they followed up Don't Cha with So Hot!!! XDXDXD
So Hot is a damn good song to motivate yourself if you're feeling down btw. Just my honest opinion. ^^
Love this pic. Yesterday's fav pic was the Yenny doing the 2-2 pic, this is probably my fav pic of the day. XDXD
After that short break while they showed that video of the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Rain, Crystal Kay and others congratulating them on their Nobody's success. They actually came out and performed NOBODY!!! XDXDXD
I ACTUALLY SAW NOBODY BEING PERFORMED IN FRONT OF MY EYES!!! I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THAT!!! XDXDXD
I want Nobody Nobody but you!!!
After which they did that "let's see which side of the audience is louder" thing before they did Tell Me! I have no pics of that because I was watching the show. Most of my shots above are actually lucky shots because I was mainly focused on the show more than I was watching what I was taking.
Anyway, after that it was adiós Singapore!!!

I missed one song btw, I think it was titled I Believe in You or something, but I'm not too sure. It was before the video of the Jonas Brothers and co. thingy. ^^
Anyway, 6 songs (I think, I hope I didn't forget any) and a quite awesomely good time. I had some problems communicating with some of the Wonderfuls there, since I'm hardly considered to be one, and still do actually, but one or two of them were nice, so it was still okay.
Some of the dance breaks were awesome as well, especiallt the Don't Cha one and I think all five girls looked fantastic!!! So Hee especially, I dunno why but I think So Hee dresses the best out of all of them. Sunye is still my absolute favorite (Notice almost all my pics has her in the middle? Although, that may be by chance more than intention), and she looks totally awesome with that hair (Normally I'll say weird, but hey, I'm on a high!).
All in all, I had a blast! And I hope they did too! I was a borderline Wonder Girls fan at best before all this, but now I think I'm gonna delve into that trap a bit deeper. They are one of the groups that keeps consistently coming to this region and I think being a bigger fan of theirs may actually pay off in one way or another.
Plus, ultimately, they are and always will be, AWESOME!!! XDXDXD
Thank you for reading, if you were bored, well, you should've known better. :P

~ Wonder Girls: Meet and Greet ~
So today, I went out with the intention of meeting these five lovely ladies...

THE WONDER GIRLS!!! XDXDXD
So, yeah. XD
Ultimately, I did not expect to actually get very near to them, for one thing, I didn't really feel all that stalky or motivated to go and chase them all over the place. XD

Ye Eun: Yeah Yeah!!! XD
I decided to just go to two of the fan meetings, the one at Singtel Comcentre and the one at Plaza Singapura. It is that reason and also cause of my shitty camera skills that I have no nice pictures from the first place I went to. (I do, but the pics kinda suck... lol)
I liked my choices, but the Singtel one was kinda disappointing. The space was kinda crowded and then the people there mainly just let the staff take pictures with the girls. I mean what the heck man. ~.~

So the Singtel one was a bust in my opinion. I got the see the girls, but it wasn't much, and I got irritated by the people all around me lifting their hands up high in the air like they just didn't care, cause, well, they didn't. I couldn't really get any good shots in that meeting.
So after that they were to go to Paragon. I initially thought, hey, why not go also, but in the end I figured, neh, with the crowd all going that way, why don't I go to Plaza Singapura and wait? XD
So I actually went there and waited for an hour and a half... I actually felt a bit stupid. Haha. But anyway, the wait paid off I think. The Plaza Singapura meeting went much better, I got some good shots in and I think the girls looked fantastic! XD

I love love love So Hee's dress for some reason. And I finally get to see Sun Ye in the flesh! I love that girl! XD
So after that, I didn't actually plan on going to iluma to catch the fansigning event. I mean, I didn't get a ticket to get in, so why go right? But since I was out, and since I was already so enamored by them, I figured, hell, even if I can't get any autographs, why not just go there and see them? So I set off! I got lost even, cause I never actually went to iluma before. ^^;

This is the stage after the event, I didn't have time during the event to take many pictures. Reason is...
Cause I got into the line to meet and get their autographs!!! XDXDXD
That happened cause even though I was late, I could see there was a gathering area and there was a (VERY HEAVILY) guarded line. I was walking around for a bit looking for the optimum spot to like get good shots or maybe get to see them better a bit. It didn't really matter to me where to take the shots or see them cause I did see them quite well at Plaza Singapura, but I was just walking and surveying the area.
Then I went to see the line and, I learnt this from Randy Pausch (RIP), sometimes you just gotta ask, I asked the fella whether I still need a ticket to get in. The fella just looked at me and said sure go in. I think maybe I was looking all pathetic and such that he had to just let me in... XDXDXD
So I got into line, I was stoked, and I was bloody nervous for god knows what reason. I was looking at the 5 girls and thinking what the hell should I say! Haha. I dunno why the hell I needed to get all nervous for anyway. ~.~
Eventually, they came in, and the line started moving. I was still frantically wondering what I was supposed to say when I met them though. But I think given all the time in the world I would still probably come up with nothing. Haha. So the stupid me just basically said hello to all five without so much as a conversation. I only spoke with Yoobin a bit more cause she asked for my name. I dunno, but I feel like I was being a bit rude. I feel kinda stupid now though. Haihz. I hope they didn't really think of me that way. ~.~
So there's my name... at the top... XDXXDXD

I love it... XDXDXDXD So yeah... haha... initially I was thinking maybe I can sell it, but let's say even if my name wasn't there, I couldn't do it. This is the first time I've met and gotten an autograph from someone I actually admire or follow. So I can't do it... hahaha...
So that's my stupidly simple account. It was epically awesome, to me. It may not seem as such to you, but to me it was like my Kpop fandom was finally paying off in a way. So I'm bloody stoked. I'm hoping I get to do more things like this in the future. But I dunno if I can get to once I start working and all that. ~.~
Anyway, my last Wonder Girls related pic. I actually went and bought their album before the meetings because I was thinking what if I accidentally met them before the meetings and I had nothing for them to sign!!! That'll be a travesty! Granted, that probably wouldn't happen, but I had to be prepared. XD

Ultimately, I didn't actually need to buy the album. But hey, it's still a nice album. Nice art and photos and what not. The songs I've heard till I have basically memorized it, but it's still cool to have a copy of my own. XD
So that's that! And tomorrow I get to go to their showcase!!! I'll talk about that when I've went to it then. XDXDXD
Today feels like such a good day. XDXDXDXD
Some simple other stuff:
Collected my KARA Sweet Muse Gallery today. XD

Delaying opening this because I'm currently on a Wonder Girls high. Hahaha. Will probably open it after tomorrow anyway. So, will talk about it then, if I feel like it. Haha.

~ ... OMG ~
Orange Caramel - Magic Girl
... seriously? Pledis, this is what you're going to do? Seriously!?
Come on, I mean what the heck man, After School was cool for not acting all cute and all adorable and all that, why the heck do you want to make them do that for!?
The song doesn't even show off Raina's vocal! It's a bloody waste I tell you. I expected great things out of this ya know, not something as generic and frankly, slightly annoying like this.
That said, I'm sure (Well, hoping anyway) that it'll do well regardless, I think After School has that following now where with whatever they wanna do, the fans will still love them regardless (I hope).
And alternatively, I do still get to see Raina all dolled up. So, I guess I'll shut up now and go watch it again. :P

~ Full Metal Alchemist ~
I just spent my whole day and night reading Full Metal Alchemist...

Quite satisfying I might add. XD
This was brought on by the fact that I saw that the manga had just ended. And being curious, I decided that I wanted to know how it ended. And being the idiot that cannot read the ending before the full thing, I started off from scratch...
I still can't believe that manga takes this long to read. Keep in mind I even skipped some parts that I found boring and it still took me this long to finish. It's a bloody comic book for god's sake.
You could say it was equivalent exchange, one night of my life for the entire series of FMA. LOL!!!
So now I'm gonna be working on the anime. Cool thing about the first part of the anime is that YUI's song is the opening song, that's as much as I know. Other than that, I don't really see much to look forward to in the anime actually. I'll probably watch it, but just to see how they animate some of the action sequences and see if they change anything, which I doubt they will, but who knows. I do look forward to seeing the ending though, I think mixed with good music, it'll be a sweet ending. LOL!!!

~ Exam ~
Looks like an interesting movie. I mean, look at the title!!! XD

The title is soooo simple. However, the movie seems that kind of complicated movie that will complicate stuff over a simple mundane thing such as an exam. But the rules of the game is always what matters. As it is, I'm always attracted to movies/books/stories that has a structure of a game and the rules that control the game.
It is a thriller however, so I'm scared they'll be scary parts that will scare me. I think this is in the same vein as those scary movies where the main question of the day is which characters will die and which characters will live, except that instead of dying, it'll just involve which character will pass and which characters will fail. So I think it's safe for me to watch. Here's the trailer:
Exam
Speaking of which will die, which will live scenarios, I have been watching a lot of stupid movies on Channel 5 which all have that theme. Not all of them are stupid, but one of them is really really stupid. Maybe I'll get to that another day... something more to blog about maybe... add to that, I'm super tired right now. The movies I'm thinking of that I watched on Channel 5 are Hypercube (Wasn't bad actually), Attack of the Sabertooth (Rib-tickling funny sia!) and Scream 2 (No real feel to this one, had it's moments).
On that note, I have to say that when I went for that job interview that day, the HR girl that came to lead me to the interview was hella cute. Very distracting. I think it cost me a job. (I'm kidding, kay, haha, I don't think it really affected me much... :P)
WAHAHAHAHAHA.

~ Charice ~
Filipino girl with style!!! XD
Became famous because some avid fan posted her videos on YouTube. And she's actually quite awesome!
Charice & Iyaz - Pyramid
I love the song!!! Additionally, I think the studio version of the MV is nicer. It's sorta like the stripped down version. Haha.
Anyway, just to say you and you and you and you and everyone else oughta give Charice a chance. Her songs are powerful and I mean vocally powerful. I was listening to her on the way home and the entire album had powerful vocals. It was quite something to listen to. ^^
On other news:
Still haven't actually decided on a Gundam to buy. Haha. Ultimately, I think this may be a good thing. What with all the crazy items SME is throwing at us, me not buying a Gundam out of whim is a very good thing.
I mean with this

What do you expect me to do? I mean come on, I'm powerless against that... bloody money hungry entertainment companies... >.<
I just read two posts on the world cup:
Kenwooi's Ways To Avoid Girlfriend’s Distraction during World Cup
curryegg's How To Distract Your Boyfriend From World Cup
And I just thought, everyone like so crazy over this world cup thing. I only thinking, I want to watch the first match and the last match. Haha. I was never really that football crazy. But I do indulge in a match every once in a while.
I'm of the opinion that a good match, is really very very entertaining. I remember watching a Netherlands vs. France match that had me on the edge of my seat. That match was crazy!!! And instantly made me a Netherlands fan. Haha. So if I were to catch any other matches, it would be the Netherlands matches. XD

~ Travelling ~
Seems like I've been travelling all the time last week... and a half...
So, first I went to KL, last last Sunday, to attend some gathering. Then came back on Saturday itself. Then I went to Singapore on Monday so that I could attend some interview on Tuesday (Which required a whole lot of unnecessary walking), then I went over to JB on that Thursday, then came back into Singapore on Saturday, then went back to JB on Saturday itself, then made another unexpected trip into Singapore again on Sunday, before going back to JB on Sunday itself, before making my way back to Melaka later that night.
And... now I'm going to be going back down to Singapore on Thursday... four days after I just got back to Melaka!
I tell you, all this travelling kinda sucks. I normally don't mind travelling so much, but this is too much! ^^;
Which, btw, if anyone cares, is why I have not been updating this much the past week or so. I have to say, I think this is the longest hiatus I've had from blogging since the blog drought of... when I never blogged. ^^
But anywayz, I'm hoping good things come out of these visits all over the place. Some things are up in the air at the moment, but the KL trip was enlightening and fun. Singapore trips are always a mixed bag though.
On to some other stuff...
I briefly toyed with the idea of getting into gunpla again. For the reason that I saw some of them at 50% off!!! So I was looking at:
Seravee Gundam. Original price RM302.90, 50% = RM151.45

Cherudim Gundam. Original Price RM149.90, 50% = RM74.95

In the end though, I decided against it. For one, if I bought these days, I would have to buy 00 Gundam and Arios Gundam, which are not on discount or on sale even. For another, I have the 1/200 (I'm guessing) sized ones, and think getting the bigger versions will just dwarf them and make them feel unworthy. :P
So now I'm back to thinking about 0 Gundam

And a new one I just noticed fits my needs quite well and is relatively cheap, Gundam Exia! XD

Oh, and I also saw some models of Cherudim and Arios on discount in Toys R Us! So now you can say I'm quite torn. Hahaha.
Haihz... me needs monies...
