I'm done with my final 'final exam'!!! Wheee... I'm basically done with academic life! Basically anyway, but need to consider the fact that job interviews and stuff may actually test me on stuff that I should know through my Uni life. ^^;

But anyway, it's enjoyment from here on out till... tomorrow... haha... I'm considering making a trip over to good ol' Malaysia to have a movie marathon. I actually planned on doing it here, but just realized yesterday that I could go over and have a "cheaper" time watching more movies at lower prices AND in the language I want to watch it in. That's my other point, Kick Ass and Iron Man 2 can be watched here no problem (Kick Ass especially since Malaysia MAY censor parts of it) but Ip Man 2 is a problem because it'll all be in Mandarin and I want to watch that in Cantonese. ^^

But then need to consider that to make that trip is actually quite tiring and that Kick Ass may be censored over in Malaysia, soooo... pros and cons galore. Haha.

I will probably watch something (At least one movie) tomorrow, what, when and where is still in question. And if anyone feels like joining me, do let me know. Hahaha. I'll just put it out there now: "I will be going solo". I actually have no qualms about watching movies alone. I would elaborate, but I'm keeping that story for another time and day. (I feel like I have already talked about it some time ago though...)

f(x) - NU ABO


What sort of bloody title is that? I would like to state that I like f(x) just fine. I just have always thought of them as SM's answer to YG's 2NE1. Although I do prefer f(x) over 2NE1, for one, I like f(x)'s songs better and I'm not particularly fond of 2NE1's songs except for "I Don't Care", which is bloody brilliant btw, for another f(x) are cuter. (As some people I am seeing keep saying, jailbait anyone? ^^;;)

My main problem with f(x) though, is Amber. I mean, does she have to act so much like a guy? I mean seeeeeeeeeeerrriiiiiiiiiiioooooussly! You do not need to be so butch to rap, beautiful girls can rap just fine (After School's Bekha, BEG's Miryo, 4minute's Hyuna & Jiyoon). Is Amber really that tomboyish or issit SM's insistence on her being that way? It's just damn eerie to me to see her always wearing boy's clothes all the time and acting/singing like a boy all the time.

Anyway, the new song, is... fine. I have no idea what the title is supposed to mean, apparently it's something related to donating blood, ABO, geddit? Geddit? But that's just weird to me. ^^;

Anywayz, I will be relaxing, and watching the HDH invitational! Starcraft 2 babeh! I have learnt so much! I can't wait to put down proxy Pylons, doing 6 pool 7 hatches, floating Command Centers all over the place... you know, noobish stuff that gets you owned in Starcraft 2 games. ^^

You nine have helped me get through some tough times in life when I felt really alone and all that stuff. Haha. I mean the past few years really did throw me some shit I never expected I have to deal with. Although eventually I had to man up to them and settle those issues, it did help for me to watch GGTS (My favorite show of theirs ever) and laugh my worries away.

I know the entire thing sounds cliche and all that (I mean having someone you don't know help you through some tough time in life, who's never heard of that?) but I did really face some stuff (Especially in the last year) that I never thought I would have to face. I coped (With Twilight no less, LOL) and I got over it. But you nine were the one constant in my life since 2007 and it has never changed since.

I should really have learnt something by now, but fact is I'm resistant to change and bone lazy by nature. So by that, you nine girls will be my inspiration to do something different for the rest of my life. Hopefully. ^^

Again, Happy 1000th!!! And I hope the next 1000 will be as fulfilling or as glorious as the previous 1000. XD

~ Politics ~

I have never cared so much about politics in my life! And I'm not even talking about my country's politics (Which is as equally messed up, just not so violent).

Everytime I go online to see the news or whatever, I see new more depressing news. The anti-government side won't back down and the government side won't give in. So it's basically a stalemate, although now the antis are getting bolder though, so more violence will probably ensue. >.<

*ssiiiiggghhhh*

So maybe I was overly impulsive when I decided to go for it. But hey, a choice is a choice. My only hope now is that they all go and riot all they want now (Let's say peaceful riots) and that the situation will calm down before the time when I'm going. I mean it's not a nice thing to say 'riot all you want now', but really, what else can I say? The best outcome for me personally, would be that the government gives in. But that doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon and I do actually understand why the government will not give in though.

Not sure how it happened, but I went to the toilet, took my room keys out of my pocket and proceeding to throw them, without a second thought, into the toilet bowl. Yes, I did actually do that. The good news here is that the cleaner just only cleaned the toilet, so it was 'clean' at least.

But anyway, I stood there stunned for a while before I fished them out of the toilet bowl. Haha.

Seriously, I have no idea how that happened, it all happened so smoothly and so fast. I just took it and threw it. And now that I think about it, it's bloody hilarious! Hahaha.

So, my stupidity aside.

Psych


Psych is a very satisfying show to watch. Only thing to say is that how can anyone not suspect that Shawn is not really a psychic by now? I mean it's kinda obvious already actually. Watching Shawn playing psychic is really quite damn funny though and I guess that's the point of the psychic angle.

The Mr. Yin and Mr. Yang angles though I like a lot. It's nice to see some continued storylines in the show though. Always good to have running storylines. But I like Psych more cause each episode is mostly separate from each other. It's easy to watch and funny enough to provide comic relief. I have been of the opinion in recent times that there are some dramas that provide more comedy than some comedies out there. This is one of those that are like that some others may be Stargate SG-1, Royal Pains or Leverage.

Anyway, got one more exam to go. Potentially my last ever exam. Haha. So, it's cool.

Oh, and I got my poster from Karaholic ady!!! Wheeee!!! Damn cool!!! I love winning stuff. XD

I think that this one will maybe at least maybe (again!) appeal a bit to those people who keep saying it's stupid, gay, boring, did I mention stupid?

I mean come on, at least there's a good team vs. bad team thing at the end like all the other movies out there which has two teams and they have this show down at the end with each team running at each other full tilt and then clashing swords and shields in an epic battle.

Yea... I didn't really believe I just said that.

My stand on this entire thing is this:
1.> The books
Were a okay read. When I was reading it, it was the best thing ever (OMGsss, I can't believe I'm saying this!). But after finishing the whole thing and given some time to repent (LOLZ), I do realize it was a bit derivative in the fact that it is some mushy romance novel trying to mimic a supernatural/fantasy novel. To an extent, it worked. I mean I do like the fact that there are different groups of 'vampires' and the lore behind that. But it was only dealt with in the last book and a very rushed dealing at that. Additionally, I tried picking it up to read again, book 1 I could stomach, books 2 and 3 are just plain... painful, I wanted to shoot myself. Book 4 first part was agonizing (Shooting myself again), second part was palatable. So... there...

2.> The movies
I love Twilight. I really did. Maybe it was the timing of when I watched it, maybe I was in a very melancholy mood at the moment, who knows. But I did like it. It was subtle, it was moving, it had some action (Which some say was when the movie started) and it had a reasonably good ending. New Moon on the other hand, was bloody horrible. There was no plot! (Much like the book) It just moved from Bella being miserable to Bella still being miserable to MORE Bella still being miserable. I think it was trying to be subtle (Like the first movie), but it got wayyyy tooo overboard and took any fun out of it! And Jacob was boring as hell! Maybe it's cause I don't appreciate his muscular pecs, but he was so god damn boring to watch! Only saving grace of this movie (And the first one maybe) was Alice!!! Alice!!! Alice!!! And did I mention Alice!!?? XD

First thought before watching it was, what kind of stupid movie is this. Then saw the trailer, then thought, huh, wasn't what I expected. Although now I think it's a play on Beauty and the Beast concept. ^^

But there's one reason why this movie may be quite good (I didn't want to say great). Neill Patrick Harris!!!!!!! Who expected me to say Vanessa Hudgens? XD

Had a blog post I intended to post earlier, but due to no motivation to type that, I figure just list some movies that catch my eye... cause, well... I can... haha...

The Expendables

I don't like Sylvester Stallone actually, I get that he is the action man (Rambo and Rocky), but I just don't really like him. But this movie is just full of action stars, how can one not be interested? I would probably say this is the direct opposite of a chick flick. I mean there's Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Staham, Arnold Schwarzenegger (Also not a fave actor of mine), Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Steve Austin and many more, how can this movie be boring!? Stupid maybe, but it certainly will not be boring. XD

Inception

Leonardo DiCaprio movie. Very much Leonardo in his element. I watch the trailer also I can say DiCaprio is acting like all his other acting gigs in this role. Haha. But it does seem interesting. Only thing is that I haven't even watched Shutter Island. ^^;;

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

I personally am not really looking forward to this. I just don't think it will be good. Just like Clash of the Titans. Haha. (Which, apparently I was right and wrong) Yes, I am saying this now, so when I am reluctant to go and watch it, you read it here first. :P

There are the others, like Iron Man 2 and Toy Story 3 which are just no brainers and has to be watched regardless of the reception it gets. I'll get into some others later if I feel like it. A simple list so far are like: The A Team, Predators, Resident Evil: Afterlife and others... :P

~ Mad Chick - Part 3 ~

Anyway, I will stop talking about this from now on. For one, if this is for real, then she needs some serious serious therapy. Cry about it, rage about it (Without doing all that illegal stuff though), but move on.

If this was all a fake joke. Part one, was funny. Part two, got creepy. Part three, was so god damn fake. I mean you had a good story going there for a while... well, actually, no... but anyway, pushing this this far is enough don't you think?

I am sooooo sooooo sooooo thankful now. But I don't wanna say why, cause it may turn out to be moot at the end. But for now, let's just leave it at I'm happy! XD

Although there are now some issues that need to be ironed out. Sooo, that's irritating. I feel like following this one group, but this person I'm going with feels more like going solo. Haha. But in any case, it's probably one of the biggest things I've ever done in my life. Well, besides the other big things I've done in my life.

It's not to say it's some big ambitious project that will save humanity from the apocalypse or anything, it's just something that is quite small in comparison and is probably quite stupid and dumb to most of you out there, but it is huge to me.

And I really don't want to talk about it, but I have to talk about it. Soooo... this is my compromise. Haha.

~ Weird Dreams 2 ~

It's getting a bit tiring to have dreams where someone seems to always be out to get you no?

In contrast to my first weird dream (You can read it: here) I was actually quite panicked when I woke up to this one.

So this time, it involved arson. Yes people. A-R-S-O-N. I seriously am watching too many criminal procedural shows. Although I don't really remember the last criminal procedural show I watched.

Anyway, the dream involved some group trying to burn down my house. The whole thing started by them burning down the two houses opposite my house and me just noticing it. Then this woman (Let's say... mid-30-ish...) ran up to my house and started by throwing something similar to a Molotov at my house (My dreams involve Molotovs... GOD!). So then I/we tried to catch her and she led us on a wild goose hunt around the neighborhood while some of us put out the fire.

Ultimately we managed to run them away while they drove off in their van they did that "I'll be back" routine. So then we were all very nervous and discussing how to prevent them from burning down the house (pun intended :D).

Then I woke up. Haha.

Seriously though, I have damn weird dreams.

Points to note from this:
1.> I am actually more worried about my books and stuff than my own life. I think I was thinking a lot of how to move everything quickly to prevent them from burning down. ^^
2.> This dream worried me more than the one I had previously where someone was out to get me personally. This either means I care more about other people or that I care more about material stuff.
3.> I think I tried to act the hero again. I was chasing that stupid girl all over the neighborhood.
4.> No girl to save. Which is interesting. You would think I would've dreamt up a girl to save no?

But seriously, this dream did freak me out somewhat. I even called my parents (Not to talk about the dream) just to see the house okay or not. Haha.

Anyway, as always I'll end with happy things...

~ Star Wars Episode 2 Movie Review ~

Best ever movie review! Seriously...

One point to note, before you watch it, consider if you liked Star Wars Episode 2 or not. Whether you did or did not, you need to be warned that there's a chance now that every time you watch this movie, you may just think of all the issues mentioned in this long review. I'm quite positive that I will be thinking of them now, which kinda sucks, but I have faith that it won't concern me much, cause really, it's a talent I have. XD

Anyway, here it is:


The fella's a bit snarky and sarcastic, but I think that's the point. Additionally, the scenes where he implies he kills women and dumps their bodies is very very very very very creepy. Although it is a joke, so don't be 100% put off by that. ^^;;

The video I'm linking here is just part 1 btw. There are 9 parts. Yes, 9 parts. His review is 1 hour and 30 minutes long. I don't really think he'll grow on you, cause the concept he's going with is creepy and morbid, which does catch your attention initially but unless you're really into that, I think it'll get old fast.

At the end of all that, I'll like to say I'm actually a fan of Star Wars, regardless of how bad it is. That's what I do, I can watch movies everyone think is horrible and still think it was nice. ^^

Kayz, I go sleep... that one hour and a half movie review wasn't expected for me. I didn't really expect that I'll like it and watch it... ^^;;

Hall 1 Dance

This one was awesome because of the Leona Lewis' Happy part. I never really figured someone would be able to dance to that song, and that well some more, it was really impressive.

Hall 2 Dance

Awesome cause of the Classical parts. Didn't really expect that from a dance... competition so to speak (I dunno if it's a competition or not). And special mention for the Abracadabra part around 3:28. XD

Hall 4 Dance

Goto 1:57, SNSD's Gee. No need to say any more. So okay, I'm biased. So what? XD

Hall 6 Dance

Goto 3:08, SNSD's Oh! followed by SHINee's Ring Ding Dong. ^^

Although given that, my favorite part is still the Leona Lewis one. Haha. That is one tough song to sing and an equally tough song to dance to. You've gotta give it to Leona Lewis though. Her songs are really one of a kind. I actually didn't like Happy all that much when I heard it, but as time went on, it kinda caught on. Additionally, no one in their right minds should even bother to try singing Happy at any Idol show or whatever cause frankly, they'll just embarrass themselves. XD

And the video is just heartbreaking! Watch first if you don't want spoilers in the following paragraph...

Thing is I think it's a damn nice song for people to choreograph to as proven by some of the videos above. But besides that, the song is just very very catchy and this is the first time I ever care about Lil Wayne. I normally don't give a damn about his songs. But his part in this was just perfect.

Ah... dance. One of those things I look at and think: "I can never ever do that." One of my favorite dance groups is still Jabbawockeez though, cause I don't really know any others anyway. Haha.

First of all, I'm not sure what Brad did, but why the hell did they break up? She is quite hot... a bit crazy maybe... but hot nonetheless... :P

While I was typing this: "Hot/Crazy", it made me think of the movie Crazy/Beautiful starring the ever so lovely Kirsten Dunst (I like her kay), so I went and made a search for it to read up, I came upon this: Beautiful Crazy



Interesting no? Might try to find it. Looks like an interesting movie. Or you could say it's something like up my alley. I love these sort of depressing/emo/morose movies which hopefully end up with thoughts of hope and cheerfulness... hopefully. ^^

Last thing to mention. This is technically my last week ever of school. Assuming that I don't go any higher in the academic world, this is it for me! I'm excited/terrified. It's a very scary time to be me, cause really, I don't 100% feel like I'm ready to take on the world. But hey, we've all gotta do what we've all gotta do. I've just gotta suck it up and deal with it.

See see, my brothers and I started this band JLS, using the first letters of our names and we made this song and we are now sooo sooo famous...



We look a bit dark in the video though... funny how the camera adds dark tones to your skin color doesn't it? I didn't know our song was sooo good though. Never though that could come from us.

Just fyi if you haven't gotten it... I am kidding. JLS while it is a name my brothers and I used last time (Setting up our fake company ya know) is a British boy band who were the runners up in some year's X-factor. Given that it's X-factor, it makes sense that they are quite damn good at singing. So there. I just found it quite funny that there is a band out there using our initials for it's name. In the band's context, the name comes from Jack the Lad Swing, which I have no idea what it means, but heck, I don't really care. The song is reasonably nice and that's all that matters. XD

I'm not saying the Step Up series is my favorite series of movies, but it is probably my favorite of the dancing movies out there... probably... cause I can't really think of other dancing movies. What was that Jeniffer Lopez one?

Anyway, Step Up 3-D looks like it's going to be... no better than the first or second one. HAHAHA. I just think that's the case lar, I mean how different and/or better can you make a dancing movie?

It's a podcast with some guys talking about videogames, movie, tv shows or whatever. They are the people who made the popular web series Red vs. Blue. I like the podcast mainly cause it's funny. And while some people complain that I may have all my opinions formed by them these days, I would like to point out that that is not true. For one, I have my own opinions. For another, they mostly do just confirm my opinions. For example, I was already thinking that Clash of the Titans will be a bad show, and they just confirmed it for me. ^^

Anyway some things I learnt on this week's podcast:

The title of this post is the phrase Faith says in Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel.

Anyway, I got back into Angel recently... XD

Damn good show. Next to Friends, I think this and Buffy the Vampire Slayer are some of the best TV shows I've seen... and maybe Battlestar Galactica... keep in mind I change my mind often, so my favorite show changes from day to day. ^^

And I really should try out Firefly... haha... I mean it's got Summer Glau! Summer Glau!!! That's more than enough already. XD

And Faith is backk!!! On the episode I'm watching anyway. Angelus is really quite the villain by the way. Smart, cunning and funny as hell to boot. Angel is just soooo moody, well, not to say he can help it, what with being cursed and all. How is it that the bad guys always have so much more cherry personalities? Besides Sephiroth... and Kerringan...

Another thing, what is the theme song of Angel? It's damn good. Haha.

If my blog was popular enough, I could ask what's your favorite TV show. Haha. If you're reading this and feel like letting me know, do let me know... haha...

Anyway... I wanted to post up reviews on "How I Met Your Dragon", "Kaiji" and "The Lovely Bones" (Which someone said sucked). But I'm trying to do that on a new blog with better organization or something, but since I'm lazy, that's probably not gonna happen anytime soon... >.<



Wish this would've come to something. Just using it in the graphic novel is not good enough to me. Haha. Still waiting for the next collected edition "Retreat". XD

Additional note: I'm still hyped up over "How to Train Your Dragon". I'm not sure how, but that movie is still resonating in my brain even after three or four days. I don't remember the last movie that did that to me. It definitely wasn't Avatar although I still think that is a good movie. How "How to Train Your Dragon" caught me so well I'll probably never know. But I'm just fighting the itch to go and watch it again. I totally had loads of fun watching that movie and it is definitely one of the better movies I have watched so far this year.



On the other hand, Kaiji was a tad disappointing. ^^

More on "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Kaiji" when I feel like talking about them later.

Now I've got some emails to send and an assignment to do... probably after I catch a few winks though. I'm totally poofed out. XD

~ Funny dreams and weird apparitions ~

Damn cute Totoro! I can say Totoro was probably the only Studio Ghibli show I actually kinda liked. I don't get Spirited Away and that Ponyo whatever story and that kinda made me not like to watch their shows anymore.

Anyway... just here to talk about the damnest, weirdest dream I ever had. I had this about 2 or 3 days ago, but had some other things happen in between then and now that I had no time to post it.

On to the dream! (This is seriously not a joke btw, I realize the timing could've been better, but I don't play jokes... not elaborate jokes anyway)

For one, I was apparently running. I'm not sure when the last time I had to run in a dream was (Yes, I have lazy dreams) but I don't really remember when I've ever had to run during a dream. It was hella weird...

Anyway, the gist of the story was that this apparently madman took me and wanted to throw me off a high storey building for some religious sacrifice or something. The basic premise after that was getting away from him, before, I might add, he actually took a girl threatening to do the same to her.

After which, I assume my subconscious wanting to play the hero, actually blocked the fella while I allowed the girl to get to the elevator to escape. Ultimately, I think I also made it to the elevator and got away in the crowd downstairs. Imagine like there was a lot of people milling around the ground level and the outside (Ala Tokyo) of the building and we got ourselves lost in the crowd. After which I went to make a police report and then got home then took the car out to drive to find the girl. The madman was never caught btw, so I'm not sure what happened to him in my story.

I do not remember any faces, but I remember some situations with clarity:

1.> I remember the room I was in when he brought in the girl. There was this table in the center of the room, and we did that run around the table thing people do in movies to get away.
2.> I remember the elevator. Although technically it was just any standard metal elevator.
3.> I remember slamming the cluster door so to speak in his face. (Yes, I did that, yay me!)
4.> The crowd scene. This part was really like a movie, like you know we are crouching and all that and he's frantically running through the crowd looking for us.
5.> Don't remember the police report and what not, but I remember going to my car to drive to find the girl. (This part was reminiscent of me driving off to find my friend when she used to still be in Melaka sometimes)

Now... before you say anything, let me say I am seriously seriously S-E-R-I-O-U-S-L-Y not lying. I am aware it is Aprils Fool's Day, which makes the timing for this post seriously mistimed. But I swear on my life that I really did have this dream.

Some things to note:
1.> Seriously, I think I watch too many movies or TV shows. I mean seriously, when I was telling this to my friend a few days ago, I realized how hollywood it all sounded.
2.> My friend commented that I was a martyr in the story. Haha. Sacrificing myself to save the girl. Interesting no? I think this shows that I have a relatively bad wannabe-hero complex.
3.> This had better not be some premonition some godly creature bestowed on me. Cause really, I ain't all that heroic.
4.> And if my subconscious is trying to tell me something, what the hell issit? I mean seriously, sometimes people have dreams that like when they wake up they like learn something or realize they need to do something. What the hell does this dream tell me? I mean it's more like my subconscious is trying to make a movie! Or is that the message? Hmm...

Some would call that a nightmare, I didn't really think much about it. I woke up feeling a bit panicked that there was a madman out to get me, before realizing in the next 5 minutes that it was all a dream. Didn't even really made me panic a bit. I just: "That was weird" and just got up and did my normal stuff. The thing I am kinda wondering a lot now, was that girl someone I knew, or just a random girl?

I think one way of coping btw, ***(MINI SPOILER FOR THE LOVELY BONES!!!)***was to imagine how The Lovely Bones ended and imagine that happening to that faceless guy... haha... ***(MINI SPOILER FOR THE LOVELY BONES END!!!)***

Anyway, that's my weird story. Let me say again, I am not joking and I did have that dream. It's just really very very weird. Haha.

Don't really get the story, well, till I watched it a few times and then read up on it. But doesn't really look/sound like a great story. Haha. But it's SNSD, sooo... what can I do? I'm weak towards their wiles.

I also really want to win a contest or something. I've joined a few, but I don't think I'll be winning any one of them. It's been some time since I last won something from a contest. *sigh*

Drunk Tank came and went. Didn't get to hear Monty, but they talked about PAX EAST, which sounded awesome. Too bad I won't be able to be there whenever... haha. But anyway, Red vs. Blue: Revelations tomorrow!!! Woots woots!!! Mark your calendars!!! It's going to be epic!!!

Okay, I'm done. And I could really use some feedback on the dream. It's more weird and confusing than anything I've ever encountered. Hahaha.
