I spent two days (kinda) to build this stupid set.
Well, it's not a stupid set, but everytime I buy a gundam set, I call it stupid and then proceed to build it and think it's the most awesome thing ever, but I still call it stupid, it's just a thing I do.
All my tools...
Half completed torso of the 0 Gundam. This is the only half completed piece I have... I kinda got into a mode and didn't bother taking any more half completed pieces. Which I kinda regret now, but hey, that's what it is.
Took me relatively a day to finish both models. The night before of a Sunday and the entire morning of the next Monday. So it's essentially a day.
Anyway, this is what the finished products look like. I tried to replicate the pose on the box cover, but it didn't work out so well considering the size of Exia R2's Beam Saber.
Some other poses. I mean what the hell are you supposed to do with Gunpla anyway? Just pose only right? =)
Got some styrofoam and wanted to make it look awesome and all that stuff. You know the one where people go and make a backdrop and add LED lights and paint a moonscape and all that.
Well, I got tired. Haha.
In the end I decided to just do that. I mean, it doesn't really look great, but I didn't have the heart or the energy OR the time OR the money to actually go and make a moonscape and all that.
The other four on the other side is the 1/200 Speed Grade ones (I'm assuming here, but I think it fits the description I read online). Got them a long time ago. Just threw them in for the heck of it.
However, at the end of the day, I found that I had no good place to place this styrofoam monstrosity. So I dismantled it and just put every model in my cupboard. Arranged quite nicely if I do say so myself.
That's that. My Gunpla, safely stored in a small cupboard. Haha. Maybe one day I'll take them out and do the moonscape thing like I intended, but for now, this is where they'll stay. =)
Considering this is my first ever 1/144 scale models, I would say it has been fun. Even stressful at times. I read up about it a bit as I wanted to do it right, but in the end I just improvised a lot.
I'm moving up though. Went from 1/200 SG to 1/144 HG. Not bad. Although before I even consider moving to 1/100 or 1/60, I wanna practice more on a few more 1/144s. And really, this is not really a hobby I want to get into, at least not now.
I'm focusing more or less on the Gundam 00 series, because it's the only series I have ever watched. But having just 6 models, 4 of which are not really highly rated by people, is not really a collection.
But hey, as long as I'm happy and content, who cares? =)
I would probably buy another one, the 0 Gundam with the GN particle wings thingy when the price goes waaaayyyy down or if I think I can afford to buy it. Or maybe some of the Gundam 00 movie ones. I'm really liking Zabanya. =)
"Gundam Exia, eliminating target!"
(That's just damn corny... =D)
