But apparently the recesses of my mind is so deep I can't find what it is I wanna blog about when I get in front of a computer.
My only recollection of one of the things I wanted to talk about was duets. But I can't remember exactly what that is now. ~.~
Anyway, since I haven't been updating this for a while, I figured I'll just briefly speak about some stuff I've been looking at and what not.
First of all, I played my first ever Starcraft 2 Multiplayer match!!!
I was horrible!!! Absolutely noobish!!! I had no idea what to do and no idea how to attack the fella!!! I have watched numerous matches of pros and thought I could maybe replicate some of their builds, but really, even before doing any of that, I've gotta learn how to actually play the game first. Some tutorials just don't tell you the basics. Like, when do you build a supply depot? How many SCVs are enough (Although from what I see, SCVs should always be constantly built)? When do you attack all that sort of basic things.
I did however, learn one thing from all the matches I played, the need to expand. That was the one thing I did right, although if he did choose to attack any of my expansions, I would've died. But he played one base, and did not expand till much much later in the game. How much later? When I had mined out the gold and was expanding to 3 other different places. :P
But still, my problem then was that I had no idea how to break him. He was turtling and my Marine Maurauder ball was just getting wasted by his Siege Tanks. So I did the only thing I could think of. Battlecruisers!!! XD

I love the Battlecruiser btw. It looks just epic. Anyway, when my Battlecruisers appeared in his base, he just gave up and gg'ed. So I did win my first ever SC2 multiplayer match!!! Which is awesome, but it took me an hour or more. Which is just... bad... hahaha...
My luck was just good cause I was playing someone who was just worse than me. When he was trying to expand I even managed to kill his SCV to delay it, TWICE! My main problem in the entire match is keeping up my macro. I had like 10k worth of minerals and I had no idea what to do with it.
Ultimately, this is a lot of text for a very very very noobish match, but frankly, it was hella fun! I would love to play more, but my seven free hours are almost up. So I dunno if I will buy the game or not. I mean with my noobish level, why bother buying the game to get humiliated day after day?
Anyway, that's just one thing, some other things I did:
Watched The Last Airbender

I personally think the story is good, it has potential. The problem is just everything else. I mean the acting was just... urgh... and the fight scenes were so god damn slow, I even felt that the camera was moving slowly just to torture me. I may get into this in a later post, but I think I'll just leave this at... well, this.
Read Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol

It's... fine. I just think it took me a while to get into it. There was nothing that captivating about it as in his other books, but I think it's a bit of a welcome change. His other books all basically have the same formula, so it becomes a bit predictable, so a book of his that doesn't take the same route is welcome.
And the ending parts does get much more intense and interesting. Although it also did get predictable also. Soooo... it's good, just maybe I'm reading too many of his books.
Started up a Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathon.

Mainly cause... well... I also dunno why. I just suddenly thought of it and just started watching it.

Maybe it's cause I was thinking of the "Once More, With Feeling" episode. It was quite an awesome episode. Haha.
Anyway, that's it for now. Maybe I'll bring a notebook around with me next time to jot down what to blog about when it hits me. Haha.
